The day of Saturday Aug 17th dawns misty and damp, with a thick fog rolling down the Black Hills and through the city. Though clammy, the forecast calls for sun later, and no amount of clammy discomfort will stop the game world from rumbling into motion, and the early morning cafes are packed as ever with commuters, bit rate journalists and media agents, freelance mechwarriors, mechanics, and janitorial staff coming off their shifts and looking for a meal on their way home.
The afternoon sun begins to break through the mist and by late afternoon, the day is beginning to be both warm and damp, though they sky is still clear. Evening brings with it the humming of insects and a relief from the heat, but no respite from humidity. Locals mutter that means rain is coming, but they can't seem to agree on how soon.
